COMMUNITY
NEED STATEMENT
Many citizens within the targeted areas are experiencing
a decrease in services and programs designed to address
reading illiteracy, career and job training skills,
preparation for higher learning success; social and
psychological development programs; as well as, the
lack of resources and support for those who are unemployed;
disenfranchised, and disproportionately affected by
an under performing economy.
Furthermore, the recently released census report reveals
an increase in household poverty, single parent households,
and a growing culturally diverse community.
The 2010 census data revealed that Black Americans
are disproportionally affliced and affected by social
and economic disadvantages due to a long history of
societal or institutional inequittes and discrimination.
The
members and staff of Maple Creek's Family Life Center
work together to carry out not only the mission of
sharing Christ's love, but to help and strengthen
families by offering family services such as child
care, survival skills, and promote wellness. We invite
you to take advantage of all that Maple Creek's Family
Life Center offers. Our goal is to provide, equip
and inspire individual achievement, strengthen family
values, and prepare local residents (young and old)
for future growth. The corporation's activities will
be carried out at space donated by the church until
another site is needed and affordable.

Why
We Do It The Holy Bible
teaches us to feed the hungry; clothe the naked; care for the
poor; and to exhibit love and compassion for our neighbor. Today’s
communities is engulfed in difficult and turbulent economic,
spiritual, and physical times...
And whatever you do,
whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him.
